The Mizo National Front ( MNF) is a regional political party in Mizoram, India. MNF emerged from the Mizo National Famine Front, which was formed by Pu Laldenga (L) to protest against the inaction of the Indian central government towards the famine (MautΓ’m) situation in the Mizo areas of the Assam state in 1959.

The Mizo National Front led by Pu Laldenga (L) was an organisation to fight for independence from India. It staged a major uprising in 1966, followed by years of underground activities. This chapter of insurgency finally came to a close with the signing of the Mizoram Peace Accord on 30th June 1986 between the underground government of the Mizo National Front and the Government of India. Under the terms of the peace accord, Mizoram was granted statehood with special protections in February 1987. Pu Laldenga (L) became the first Chief Minister of Mizoram State in 1986.

MNF has won elections and formed state government in Mizoram thrice, firstly under Pu Laldenga(L) (1986–88), secondly under Pu Zoramthanga (1998–2008) and thirdly again under the leadership of Pu Zoramthanga w.e.f 2018. In 2018 State Assembly elections MNF has emerged as the largest political party and claimed 28 seats plus 2 ( bye-election).

The motto of the party is β€˜ Pathian leh kan ram tan’ which means β€˜for God and our country – Mizoram’
